Envolve purchases lunch for Red Hills Villas residents from locally-owned Slapbox Pizzicheria

ROUND ROCK, TX — Individuals and local businesses alike have suffered greatly due to the effects of COVID-19, and the owners of Red Hills Villas Apartments decided to do what they could to help.

Envolve LLC decided to purchase take-out lunches for all residents of Red Hills Villas on 4/29—but instead of patronizing a chain restaurant, they chose locally-owned Slapbox Pizzicheria.

“We at Envolve felt this was a wonderful way to not only give back to our valued residents during this tough time, but also support local restaurants,” said Mark McBrayer, SVP, Asset Management at Envolve Communities. “Lockdowns and capacity limits have taken a toll on the service industry, so in keeping with our tagline of ‘Making Communities Better Together, we wanted to do whatever we could to assist.”

Red Hills Villas residents came by the property’s Community Room to pick up their meals. Their choices included a Greek salad, two different varieties of pizza, a grinder, or a meatball sub. Envolve also donated 175 fabric face masks that were distributed at the event.

“The residents absolutely loved the food—we got so many compliments on it!” said Danielle Maslbas, Community Manager of Red Hills Villas. “We also had fun posing in our beach-themed photo booth.”

Kimberly Boland, Regional Manager for Envolve Communities, said the event was a great success.

“There was a nice turnout, and we so enjoyed getting to treat our residents to an Italian feast,” Kimberly continued. “We always love Getting Envolved in our community, and when you can add delicious pizza to the mix, it’s a major bonus!”
