Get Envolved Foundation contributes to disaster relief funding in Newnan, GA

MEMPHIS, TN — The Get Envolved Foundation donates to help the disaster-stricken Newnan community.

Envolve LLC, one of the country’s largest affordable multifamily property owners, managers, and redevelopers, established the Get Envolved Foundation in early 2021 to make a difference in their communities and support charities near and dear to their 1,000+ employees.

A powerful EF-4 tornado ripped through Coweta county on March 26, 2021 and left a path of destruction in its wake. Many generous volunteers banded together to help with donated supplies, cleanup efforts, and medical attention. Envolve wanted to be a part of these ongoing efforts, so the Get Envolved Foundation recently donated $2,500 to the Newnan, GA disaster relief fund. This contribution will be distributed among various Coweta agencies (coordinated by the Coweta Community Foundation) to go wherever it is needed most.

“It’s hard to imagine what this community is going through,” said Daniel Hughes, Chairman & CEO of Envolve LLC. “We are thankful to have the opportunity to help with our donation, and our hope is that it will touch the lives of many who were affected by this tragedy.”

“March 26, 2021 was a devastating day to our city and residents. The amount of destruction left behind by the storm is unbelievable,” said Mark Cooper, Deputy Chief of Police for the Newnan Police Department. “Only through the grace of God were we spared from a tragic amount of death along with the damage. During the days that followed, our community came together as one to help each other—neighbors helping neighbors, friends being friends, and strangers assisting strangers.”

Envolve owns and operates Eastgate, a 96-unit apartment community located in the heart of Newnan.

“This tragedy hit really close to home and we are so thankful our wonderful employees and residents are safe,” said Jeff Ezekiel, President of Envolve Communities. “Newnan is part of the Envolve family, and we wanted to make sure we supported the relief efforts for this great

community.”

The Get Envolved Foundation will proudly feature this donation (and others like it) on its website, getenvolvedfoundation.com.

“These stories allow our employees, members of the community, board members, etc. to share in the experience and—more importantly—get to know the amazing people whose lives are being touched by our foundation’s charitable acts,” Ezekiel continued.

“This community has always been more than just a group of people in close proximity to each other, but in those days after the storm, we were the picture of what is good. The example for future efforts,” said Cooper. “Our city will never look the same, but we will always be Newnan Strong.”
